When I got started I had no computer and no internet access. I did live near a university, however. Within a few months I had a nice laptop, paid for by my profits.
I decided to only re-invest my profits and not use any other funding. This has make progress slow, but very sure.

My business plan for e-commerce has been to start small, and re-invest my profits as I go. Simple enough, but it prevents me from taking stupid risks, as I used to do.
Seems to be working, my profits doubled last year and the year before. Hope that keeps going!

This is something too many people discount when they start their internet businesses. Even if you’re not planning on spending much money to start out with, the time you spend building a business is finite and is worth an amount of money if you can do other things that would earn you more money during that time.
